We hope you have fun and as always make sure you are safe and take any precautions necessary so everyone has fun.

Starting Preschool Party Games

If your preschooler is just about to have their birthday then you are going to need to do some planning. Preschool party games are a great way for you to develop your child's social skills

Especially when they play all those party games but one thing you should make sure is that all the children get a prize. This ensures everyone is happy and hopefully this will make your child happy too. Every will go home a champion!

What type of games can you play at these preschool party games. Well the following are some ideas:

Musical Chairs

As you saw in the video setting up musical chairs is very simple - just make sure you have enough room for all the children to go round without having to bump into things - Its so funny when you watch the video how some children take it so seriously, but that is human nature. We are all competitive and want to win - the poor boy who was desperate to win, unfortunately tried too hard.

You may end up having a few tears but overall the kids love it.

You could introduce different variations to the games, such as the loser can become the captain and decides who is out in the next round - that way they won't feel as bad for not being able to sit on the chair.

So to setup your Musical chairs:

Pick an area that has enough room and then place the chairs side by side. Ensuring each alternate chair is opposite each other - as shown on the video.

Pass the Parcel

What other preschool party games could you play - well what about Pass-the-Parcel - that is an absolute classic - Make sure you have wrapped up the prize enough times so that every child gets a go, imagine having 15 children and you only wrapped up the prize with 10 sheets of paper - how disappointing would that be for the other 5 kids that never even got to hold the present. Make sure you plan it proplerly - You can do this by knowing how many people will turn up and roughly how long you want the game to last for your party.

Yes that's something a lot of people forget to plan - how long do you want the games to last - making them only last for a few minutes could have the kids disappointed and if you keep it too long some of the kids may start to wander off.

Treasure Hunt

Another traditional but very fun party game - why not hide a few hidden prizes around - and let the kids explore - as they find the presents and will be excited to do it again and again.

Or if you really want to - why not make a treasure hunt whereby the little ones go around the house or wherever you are holding the event. The prizes could be pirate costumes - when ever they find a treasure it would be part of a full pirate costume which they all end up wearing - I can see that being really fun.
